By using a combination of techniques such as enameling, etching, gold plating, painting, photography and film and the use of electronics and led’s, various forms of art did emerge over the years. It is because of these combinations that I have chosen the name Combined Art.
I also followed workshops in acrylic painting and special workshops in enamelling given by Mary Mulder (2010) and the well known Spanish artist Andreu Vilasis and his companion Nuria Lopez-Ribalta (2012), both were professors at the art academy in Barcelona.
Rob Vermeer
My name is Rob Vermeer. I was born in Amsterdam in 1946 and I am currently living in Valkenswaard in the Netherlands.
Apart from painting in oil and acrylic, I also started working with enamel and was allowed to become a member of the CKI (Creativ-Kreis-International) in 2010. My work can be qualified as a combination of various styles ranging from modern, impressionistic to realistic.
To support my art I have developed the techniques of etching, gold plating, silver plating, nickel plating, copper plating and bronze plating of various metals. I also use 3D printing, lasercutting and engraving. As a qualified electronics engineer I design and build gadgets. For the gadgets with lights and sounds I used 3D printing, lasercutting and engraving and electronic components and circuits to achieve the desired effects.
I took part in a number of art exhibitions in Europe (Germany, Holland, Belgium, Hungary) and won some prices with my art.
