All castles and houses with lights have a built-in radar sensor that activates the lights when someone approaches the object. The lights remain on for several minutes and then turn off when no movement is detected. Energy consumption in the idle state is minimal (milliwatts). The website example will display the object in an idle state for 10 seconds, followed by illumination for 40 seconds.

This is a repurposed handmade printed circuit out of an obsolete electronic Physio device with a clock added to it to make it more functional. The battery powered pendulum has 2 LEDs activated by reed contacts and a magnet to minimize the friction.
